 See how Hope Over Hurdles, formerly known as Pins 4 Pedals, has been making headlines and changing lives for over 20 years—one story at a time. 

National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award

National News

The Moores, founders of Pins and Pedals, have raised over $450,000 and hundreds of bikes for Child and Family Charities in 18 years. They partner with Coldwell Banker Realty for the Gifting Tree initiative, providing over $3,000 worth of gifts to local children. Their community service earned them the Good Neighbor Award from the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® and the Michigan REALTORS® in 2020. In 2021, they were finalists for the National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award, receiving an honorable mention and "Web Choice Favorite" title, along with $3,000 in grant money. Their goal is to inspire others to give back and make a positive impact in their communities.  

These kids have been through really tough times. It takes a lot to get them back to being whole. We hope that what we do helps them grow up to be happy and responsible.

 On Sunday, October 29, local REALTORS® and community members came together for a day of fun and friendly competition at the Pins 4 Pedals bowling fundraiser and bike drive benefiting Child and Family Charities. A long history of giving Pins 4 Pedals is not your average fundraising event; it’s a unique initiative that aims to make a difference in the lives

of children and families in need. Over the years, this dynamic blend of fun and philanthropy has made a striking impact on the Lansing community.

REALTORS® Organize Bowling Fundraiser to Support Local Children

Local REALTORS® and community members came together on May 19 for a day of fun and friendly competition at the Pins and Pedals bowling fundraiser benefiting Child and Family Charities. Coldwell Banker Hubbell BriarWood was the title sponsor for the annual event, which was previously a softball tournament fundraiser known as “Battle of the Bats.” Linda Ellsworth-Moore, REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Hubbell BriarWood and founder of the event, says the committee decided it was time for a change.

The Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® named Denny Moore and Linda Ellsworth-Moore as its 2020 Good Neighbor Award recipients. The Moores, REALTORS® with Coldwell Banker Hubbell BriarWood, also received the award at the state level, and were recognized at the Michigan REALTORS® Virtual Real Estate Convention in October.

The National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Awards recognize REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact on their community, or on the national or world stage, through volunteer work.
